Due to our client's expansion and ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic Import Supply Chain Planner to join a team based in a successful Head Office in Plymouth.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to manage and coordinate the planning and tracking of import shipments, ensuring a smooth supply chain. The successful candidate will provide clear and accurate data to all business stakeholders and will utilize Excel extensively for data manipulation, interrogation, and reporting. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and monitor data accuracy for container supply chain milestones.
* Track shipments from ex-factory to on-time receipt at distribution centres.
* Analyze large volumes of diverse data and provide actionable insights.
* Enhance supplier performance and relationships to ensure timely shipment of goods.
* Improve reporting and visibility for stakeholders to support business planning and seasonal intake phasing.
* Develop and create reports on current shipment status and alert potential issues.
* Identify and highlight supply chain risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
* Communicate insights and results to various audiences within the company.
* Present findings to stakeholders, department managers, and the head of the department.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
* Demonstrable analytical skills with commercial awareness.
* Proactive problem solver with a strong aptitude for learning.
* Experience in ocean imports and supply chain milestones is advantageous.
* Effective communication and influence with stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Office), including Power BI and online platforms.
* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
* Experience with SQL is desirable.
* Familiarity with business processes related to procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
* Excellent organizational skills with a positive attitude and determination to excel.
