Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Property Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately surveying properties, capturing all relevant data electronically to ensure appropriate decisions are made regarding repairs and maintenance. This will actively result in enhanced customer service for our tenants.You will identify the need for health and safety inspections for gas, electrical, legionella, and asbestos risks prior to any work commencing, and take necessary action to ensure the safety of the property. You will also manage subcontractor reporting and monitor stock levels.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Carry out detailed property surveys to client specifications for new or replacement boiler installations and heating systems

* Conduct gas service-related pre-inspection surveys and prepare electronic reports and costings

* Advise on material and resource requirements for installations

* Arrange and agree access arrangements with the administrative team

* Ensure phased material delivery matches the installation programme and completion dates

* Organize and liaise with contractors for scaffolding requirements

* Assist installation operatives before and during work completion

* Liaise with the Health and Safety Manager prior to and during any works

* Provide work in progress reports and a final report to the Installation Manager

* Monitor engineer performance and ensure quality standards are met

* Ensure redundant materials are removed and returned to the main stores

* Provide daily status updates to the Senior Contracts Manager

* Ensure all work is completed to company standards, within timescales and budget

* Check the Asbestos Register before work commences

* Obtain customer satisfaction sign-offs

* Conduct post-installation inspections to manufacturer specifications

* Perform other duties as reasonably requested

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience ensuring work is undertaken in accordance with statutory requirements, health and safety, and industry codes of practice

* Experience in the heating and installation industry

* Excellent customer service skills

* Understanding of legionella reporting

* Ability to calculate heat loss

* Experience working within a technical team in the social housing sector

* Understanding of timescales and value for money

* Experience/knowledge of renewable technologies such as air source heat pumps

Essential Qualifications/Skills

* Current/valid domestic gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1

* Relevant City and Guilds Level 3 qualification

* Full UK driving license
