JOB PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

Inplace personnel are currently looking for a commercial manager for a well-established business in Annesley.

The Role:

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, managing commercial activities, and contributing to the strategic development of the company.
This role encompasses a blend of commercial management and business development responsibilities, including new business proposals, customer contract renewals, rate card updates, customer reviews, and management information plans.
The role will also focus on identifying patterns across the customer base to enhance performance and drive customer development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Commercial Strategy & Execution:

* Support the development and responsible for the implementation of commercial strategies in line with company goals.

* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

* Business Development:

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's client base.

* Prepare and present proposals to potential new clients, ensuring alignment with company capabilities and client needs.

* Customer Relationship Management:

* Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.

* Handle contract renewals and negotiations, ensuring favourable terms for the company.

* Update and manage rate cards to reflect current market conditions and company pricing strategies.

* Conduct regular customer reviews to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.

* Develop and implement management information plans to track customer performance and satisfaction.

* Customer Development:

* Analyse customer data to identify patterns and trends.

* Develop strategies to improve the performance of each customer.

Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance their experience and outcomes.

* Financial Oversight:

* Develop and manage budgets for commercial activities.

* Monitor financial performance, providing reports and analysis to senior management.

* Cross-functional Collaboration:

* Work closely with the operations, finance, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive execution of commercial strategies.

* Provide commercial input to product development and service delivery.

* Support the Senior Customer Service Manager to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Experience:

* Proven experience in a commercial management or business development role.

* Strong track record of driving business growth and managing commercial activities.

* Experience in the fulfilment or logistics industry is advantageous.

Skills:

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

- Competency in computer skills, specifically Office 365 and CRM systems.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.-
