Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a well established electronics manufactuing comapny looking for an operations manager. This is a key position to lead change in the organisation from operations to production and quality. Role responsibilities include;

* Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines. Coordinate with the planning team to ensure materials and resources are available for production.

* Lead and manage a team of production team leaders, technicians, and operators. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.

* Implement and enforce quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of product quality. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.

* Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

* Oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Coordinate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues promptly.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the production environment. Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.

* Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and logistics, to optimise the production process. Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on production status and performance.

* Undertake the labour content of all quotations.

* Report and monitor monthly KPI’s focused on operations.

Person Specification:

* Proven experience in leading manufacturing teams in a complex manufacturing environment e.g. Electronics, Aerospace, Automotive.

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

* In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.

* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
