We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel to join NES Fircroft, a leading global engineering recruitment agency, based out of our Manheim office!
The successful candidate will be providing advice and guidance in relation to contingent workforce engagements, develop processes and lead training to ensure compliance and manage the end to end contract flow from client contract negotiation to the employment contract with the workers
What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for negotiating and advising on commercial contracts with clients for varied service lines including:- permanent and contract recruitment, body and staff leasing arrangements, employer of record services and service agreements.
Responsible for designing and co ordinating contracts with employees, temporary workers and subcontractors (collectively “Contingent Workforce”).
Designing compliance processes associated with the engagement of Contingent Workforce and maintaining governance
Co ordinating contractual documentation associated with client requests and orders for services.
Applying relevant legislation to workforce as applicable including, temporary worker legislation such as Temporary Workers Act.
Provide support to Contingent Workforce to ensure NES is providing suitable support to its employees and appropriate governance is in place. Provide subject matter advice on relevant employment law matters including the review and assessment of standard termination, resignation, and any related contractor queries to advise on the best course of action in line with legal and the business standards with report to Legal Manager.
Educating and training the sales team on the compliant engagement solutions.
Logging, escalating and advising on incidents and risk relating to Contingent Workforce and operating models.
Take ownership of classification processes for body leased Contingent Workforce by completing necessary status and classification assessments and advising on engagement route. Logging, escalating and advising on any risk as appropriate.
Support sales consultants on Contingent Workforce matters from a legal perspective. Ensure processes between sales and remit of role are coordinated via CRM.
Take ownership for Contingent Workforce templates, maintaining ownership for the accuracy of all client and country templates on SharePoint.
Complete onboarding training with all new starters to discuss the relevant aspects of the legal function and how and when they should engage with the team – including a clear run through of the processes.
Maintain a detailed tracker of all contractor queries and issues, capturing key data as set out to you to be presented to the Legal Manager and Director, at each quarterly review
Complete annual regional training on best practice, as agreed in advance with the Legal Manager in the annual training calendar
Monitor all legislative and regulatory updates in regard to local labour laws to ensure the business is always up to date and to present to the Legal Manager on a regular basis.
Any ad hoc requests required to support the team as required by the Legal Manager/ RLDTo be considered, you’ll need:
Legal Degree or other relevant legal qualification  
Minimum 3 years’ of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department
Experience negotiating commercial contracts
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Experience of working in a pressured environment and ensuring the delivery of projects to timescales
Proficient in German and English
