FINTEC recruit is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our international engineering client based in Aberdeen. This is a permanent role with salary up to circa £60,000 plus benefits. Involved in supporting for new product design for commercial and defence markets primarily, wide ranging projects. Working as a Technical Lead for the engineering team.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering design input to new systems and products and technical solutions and through life engineering support.
Liaison and supporting clients with existing request on upgrades and modifications to equipment /products as well as liaison with internal teams
Manage, coordinate and mentor a small engineering team with setting objectives, creating development planning and staff appraisals.
Create engineering documentation eg specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures and checking detailed drawings
Adhere to company standards, regulations and policies
Skills and Experience required for the Senior Mechanical Engineer role:-
Proven mechanical design skills, design calculations and design standards; experience of manufacturing techniques
Knowledge of gas and fluid systems and Pressure vessel design skills using PD5500, ASME VIII, EN 13445
Knowledge of industry guidelines and relevant Codes, Standards and Regulations and procedures (Lloyds, DNV, ABS, DEFSTAN, MIL-STD)
Knowledge of testing methods.
Knowledge of Engineering Analysis programs (ANSYS Workbench, MathCAD, Finglow) and using Solidworks.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management system for generating and storage of engineering packages.
Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
Hold UK Driving Licence
