You are a leader You will be responsible for the master programme "Biotechnology with focus on OMICS" and organising the studyoperations. In parallel, you will also be responsible für setting up and developing the degree programme with focuson OMICS technologies. You will be lecturing in your scientifi c discipline and contribute to the Department ofScience and Technology's research areas with applied research projects. You will inspire students whensupervising their academic papers and nurture our network by fostering relationships with regional andinternational partners. You also have all what it takes to motivate people exploring current biomedical topics andtheir links. You have a distinctly international outlook University degree (PhD or equivalent) in bioinformatics, computational biotechnology, biotechnology or a related field Several years of experience in university teaching Proven expertise in bioinformatics methods and tools for analysing OMICS data with focus on genomics, transcriptomics or proteomics Research and project experience in the above areasIndustry experience is an advantage Active member of the scientific community, reflected in acquisitioning and conducting of research projects, publications and conference attendence Excellent German and English (C1 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) You are highly committed and willing to learn and have excellent organisational skills. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 58.800,- on the basis of full-time employment (40 hours per week) plus the allowance for the head of degree programme. Depending on professional qualifications and experience, we are willing to overpay. The award of a professorship is not tied to the conclusion of an employment contract but to a peer review process and requires appropriate evidence of the candidate's record in teaching, research and practice.
