Job Title: Head of Projects
Location: Dubai
Salary: £120k - £150k (DOE) & Tax Free
Protea Recruitment is working with a leading food processing client in the UAE to find a Head of Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project leader to take full ownership of construction, fit-out, and MEP projects within the food manufacturing sector. Preferably we are looking for individuals with experience with construction of factories within Food or Retail environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee end-to-end project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Lead and manage a team of Project Managers and support staff.
* Develop and execute project strategies, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, tendering, and contractor negotiations.
* Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders, government authorities, and landlords to secure approvals and certifications.
* Select and manage suppliers/vendors for food processing equipment, refrigeration, chillers, freezers, and shelving.
* Align MEP requirements and space planning with operational needs in collaboration with design teams.
* Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
* Drive change management initiatives with senior leadership approval.
* Manage client-side project delivery, with a focus on supermarket refrigeration and food processing infrastructure.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
* PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification desirable.
* 5–8 years of hands-on experience in a similar leadership role.
* Strong background in construction, retail fit-outs/ Food Factory and MEP projects.
* Experience managing food processing and refrigeration infrastructure is essential.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
* Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
* Valid UAE driving licence.
