Are you an engineer that likes to work independently, and plan your own day? We are looking for a mobile mechanical building services maintenance engineer, that is happy to travel and look after a number of sites including healthcare, government, and other public funded facilities. This is a permanent role paying up to £42,000 per annum for the right candidate. 

Main responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, generators, and other related machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning and prolong the lifespan of mechanical systems.
Respond to emergency repair requests promptly and efficiently, minimising downtime and disruptions to estate operations.
Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and external service providers to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory management.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
About you:
Essential:

Proven technical experience with a hard facilities related environment with sound knowledge of procedural and legislative frameworks
Being able to work alone and as part of a team to achieve exacting standards of works
Previous understanding and experience of PPM/CAFM systems
Full drivers licenceDesirable:

Have the knowledge of Low temperature hot water systems, TMVs, Pressure Systems, Pool Plant, AHU/AC Systems, Compressed Air Systems, L8, BMS & Heating controls
Experience working in a PFI environment
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health and Safety qualification
