Location: Wolverhampton 
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum - this salary is negotiable and can be increased for candidates with extensive experience in a similar setting 
Hours:Full time 
Shifts: Mainly Monday - Friday though the role may require you to work some evenings or weekends

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic psychology graduate who has experience and interest in working with children and young people who have mental health or emotional wellbeing difficulties to join our Brand new 15 bed Eating Disorders and CAMHS service in Wolverhampton. The ideal Assistant Psychologist  should possess a good honours degree in psychology ( 1st or high 2:1) we can also consider senior care assistants with experience in inpatient PICU or Eating Disorders, this is a brand new state of the art 15 Bed CAMHS Eating Disorders Hospital. This is an excellent time to join a forward thinking organisation with huge growth plans over the next 5 years. The directors have over 50 years experience in the mental health sector and are looking for a talented Dietitian to join the team. There are genuine professional development opportunities for the right candidate. This specialist eating disorder service is for young people aged 13-18 years whose needs can no longer be met in the community. 

Essential elements to your role:

To undertake protocol based psychological assessments of clients applying psychological, including neuropsychological, tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care.
To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client's problems, under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist.
To assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups.
To assist in the development of a psychologically-based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service, across all settings where care takes place e.g. assisting in preparation of treatment plans, self-help materials and psycho educational materials.
To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings.

· An experienced Assistant Psychologist or Looking for a step up with a strong background in CAMHS, PICU or Eating Disorders 
 
· Passionate, caring, fun and energetic, with a genuine commitment and desire to make a difference to the lives of the service users we care for every day?
