About the role

Balfour Beatty are currently looking for a Office Administrator to join our Enabling Functions - Pensions team based in Prescot.

What you'll be doing

Within this role as a Office Administrator you'll: 

Control and coordinate the functions postal arrangements:

Capture, open, sort and distribute all incoming post
Collate and prepare all outgoing post for distribution
Liaise with Royal Mail and other mail couriers as appropriate
Maintain postal records

Code and scan all new post/email to pensions database and launch new cases for completion
Track and reactivate 3rd party cases awaiting additional information
Track pensioner status using appropriate software
Learn the fundamentals of pensions administration and how pensions schemes should be administered to comply with legislation
Create and maintaining pension scheme member records
Provide to support to the processing of case workflows
Provide telephony and email support to the Customer Relationships Management Team as and when required
Support other work in fulfilment of the Resource Plan as and when required
Support Facilities Management function as and when required
Resolution of internal and external queries via telephone, email and letter

Who we're looking for

You will have/be:

Proficient in Microsoft packages, notably Excel and Word
Familiar with electronic document imaging (EDM) processes and the use of appropriate scanning software
Experience of coordinating and controlling the postal solution of an office
Experience of pension databases would be advantageous
Able to work to strict deadlines
A strong customer focus and commitment to delivery of a high-quality service
Solid organisational and time management skills
Thoroughness and a strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complicated ideas in a concise and clear way
The ability to adapt, multitask and flex to change
Willingness to learn and develop
Good analytical and data interrogation skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as a team player, proficient in managing your own workload
