Toolmaker | Blackpool | 39 hours per week, however part time candidate will be considered | Paid an hourly rate of £18.76 (£38,045.28 per annum) | Overtime is paid for hours worked above 39hrs (first 2hrs above paid time & a third.  After 2hrs paid time & a half. Fri /Sat paid time & a half. Sunday paid at double time)

Gilberts (Blackpool) Limited is offering an exciting permanent full-time position for a skilled Toolmaker to join our Works Engineering Department.

Gilberts (Blackpool) Limited specialises in designing and manufacturing Grilles, Diffusers, Louvres, Smoke/Fire Dampers, and Natural Ventilation Systems for the HVAC industry. With over 60 years of industry expertise, we have grown from humble beginnings to become one of the UK's leading manufacturers of Commercial Air Distribution products.

You'll be responsible for the manufacturing, servicing, and repair of press tools, jigs, and fixtures. Your expertise will be vital in providing engineering support to various departments, ensuring seamless operations across the board. You'll collaborate closely with supervisors to address maintenance issues and adhere to work schedules, demonstrating flexibility and initiative when necessary.

You will work Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm (30 mins unpaid lunch) and Friday 08:00am – 1:00pm.

Are you the right person for the job?

Requirements:

Experienced, time-served Press Toolmaker
Proficient in operating all toolroom machinery
Knowledgeable in workplace Health & Safety protocols
Substantial industry experience preferred
Forklift truck and crane license desirable
Abrasive wheels certificate desirable
Full UK driving licence

What will your role look like?

Manufacture press tools, jigs, and fixtures
Service and repair associated tools and fixtures
Provide engineering support to production and press shop departments
Assist in various areas of the Works Engineering department
Collaborate with supervisors on maintenance and work schedules
Maintain flexibility with working hours to accommodate project demands
