Halcyon Care (West Midlands) Ltd is proud to be working with a family run Children's Residential services provider dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support services to individuals in need. Our mission is to ensure that every person in our care receives the support they need to live a fulfilling and independent life. As they continue to grow and expand, they are seeking a strong Deputy Manager who is looking to progress to RM for a 3 bedded EBD home in Halesowen to join the team and help us improve the services. The home currently has 2 settled placements.

The home is just that, the young people's home and the whole team will be tasked with ensuring the welcoming nurturing nature of the service continues to enable the young people to thrive.

The house itself is finished to a fantastic standard, it is spacious and well maintained with 5 bedrooms in total, extra rooms are available for staff use.

Location: Halesowen, Birmingham

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: starting at £35,000 per annum

Job Duties:

Assist the RM in overseeing all aspects of the home for children.
Develop and implement care plans in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Supervise and support staff to ensure high-quality care is provided.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Manage financial budgets and resources effectively.
Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide the best care possible.
Required Qualifications:

Current Deputy or Senior carer in EBD setting.
Experience working with children in a EBD setting.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Education:

Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or working towards.
Experience:

Ideally 2 years' experience in within a children's EBD setting.
Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of child development and welfare.
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to progress to RM.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in safeguarding and child protection.
Experience with Ofsted inspections.
Working Conditions:

Will require on shift and oncall duities.
Potential exposure to challenging behaviour and emotional situations.
