We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join an international manufacturer in Stroud. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company that can boast a great reputation and a low staff turnover.
As CNC Machinist you will:
Set and operate the CNC machines in line with the delivery requirements of the business, ensuring that products are produced efficiently; that they are of the right quality, quantity, and cost; and that they are produced on time.
Ensure that work is carried out safely and in line with the Company's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Take responsibility for the quality and inspection of your own work and take ownership for cleaning and de-burring of the parts.
Maintain good standards and support a culture of 5S plus Safety in the way you carry out your work.
Set the machines using the set-up sheets, tooling/fixtures and Edgecam programmes provide by the Production Engineering Department.
Run the machines in line with the speeds and feeds called up by the programs and monitor performance to ensure the cycle time meets the estimated costed time.
Carry out in cycle inspection of the parts produced, using micrometres, verniers and coordinate measuring machine reports.
Ensure good and professional communication is maintained with your opposite DDS machinist during shift handover.
Perform any other duty as requested by the Production Team Leaders or Machine Shop Chargehands to ensure the objectives of the company and the expectations of the customer are met.This role comes with the following benefits:
