Job Title: Audit Senior Manager

Location: Belfast, City Centre

Duration: Full Time Permanent position

Office Hours: 9am-5.30pm Monday-Friday.

On behalf of our client, a leading Professional Services Organisation, we are seeking a manager to lead the Belfast based Audit team in providing a high standard of technical services to clients.

Reporting to the Director, you will actively manage and control the delivery of all aspects of assignments, including engagement terms, staffing and budgets, scope creep and billing, client liaison between departments of the firm, and presentation of work to clients for both advisory and compliance services.

As the Senior Manager you will also coach and support the team by sharing knowledge, identifying training needs and ensuring on the job training and development opportunities are actioned.

Duties include:

1. Oversee and support the team in all aspects of a client portfolio, ensuring all client deadlines and demands are met by the wider client engagement team

2. Take ownership of client portfolio, continue to strengthen relationships with clients and their wider professional network to ensure satisfaction with services provided, working alongside client’s advisors and identifying opportunities to support clients

3. Take ownership and responsibility for delivery of all aspects of client work from start to finish by the client team, in relation to any audit and accounting support required, on budget

4. Perform detailed audit work as required, particularly work of an advanced technical nature, support staff with finalisation of audit clearance queries and produce detailed advice and recommendations for partners and clients

5. Review all aspects of audit work, at both manager and partner level, identifying planning opportunities for clients who are aligned with their goals and aspirations

6. Take responsibility for the delivery of specialist advisory and project work to clients which provides specific tailored advice which meets the client’s needs, on budget

7. Undertake due diligence work, providing support to the corporate finance team to cover due diligence reviews, undertake other specialist transaction work including preparation and review of business plans and cash flow forecasts

8. Maintain and develop technical knowledge, undertaking research of new legislation, identifying opportunities for clients and advising accordingly

9. Liaise with external advisors (e.g. lawyers or bankers) as appropriate to deliver advice

You will need:

* Relevant professional qualifications

* Demonstrate working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS

* Working knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practice

* Strong commercial and market awareness

* Excellent organisational skills

* Strong communication skills – both written and oral

* Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant software packages
