We have an exciting experienced Senior Team Leader opportunity with a well-known pharmaceutical company based near Huddersfield.

As a Senior Team Leader you can expect to earn between £56,000 and £65,000 per year depending on experience. Working 38 hours per week on dayshift. The role includes a generous bonus, car allowance and pension contribution of 8%.

As a Senior Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring all objectives on safety, quality, cost, people, and on-time delivery goals are achieved. Reporting directly to the Process Unit Head, you will manage all day-to-day operations within your designated value stream with a high degree of autonomy and management of the critical support functions associated with your value stream. You will have several direct reports (Group Leaders) and play an essential coordinating and leading role to deliver operational excellence throughout your process unit. This role is based upon a dayshift with management across a 24/5 operation with a degree of flexibility as required.

To be considered for this exciting Senior Team Leader opportunity, you will have a minimum of 5 years GMP experience in pharmaceuticals, at least 3 years in a plant manufacturing operation or facility. You will have an HNC/HND qualification or equivalent experience and have completed extensive GMP training. Knowledge of Quality Management/related systems.

Senior Team Leader Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting and exceeding value stream performance zone on a day-to-day basis.
Providing direct coaching and support and development to your direct reports.
Responsible for compliance within your zone for all regulatory policies to GMP standards.
Play an integral part of driving continuous improvement activity across your area of responsibility with a strong focus on Value-Added vs Non-Value- Added activity.
Supporting the Process Unit Head with effective recruitment, selection, and training of new talent both internally and externally.
Report operational performance by shift, day, week, and month with the expectation that you will take the required actions to address misses but also provide preventative solutions to avoid repetition.
Develop pro-active data collection systems to support key decision making.
Ensure value stream mapping is regularly assessed and updated with absolute clarity of constraints with detailed and through capacity analysis.
Create a culture within the plant to maintain and improve compliance with HS&E requirements and a zero-harm workplace with regular safety walks.
Provide key data to senior management on matters concerning functional areas and/or customers to support delivery of the strategic business plan.
Managing the deployment of operational excellence principals to create a highly effective showcase environment.
Actively collaborate with your support function peers to establish exceptional levels of daily performance cross-functionality to support business delivery of operational excellence.
Managing People, including sickness, absence and carrying out regular 1 to 1 appraisal.
Play a critical role coordinating with Planning the right level of stock, campaigning strategy, inventory level, OOS and MRP.
Provide Engineering dept the necessary information to promote efficiencies, GMPs upgrade, Safety to materialize necessary CAPEX to achieve that.
