Initial projects they will be working on – Likely schemes include a residential project in Birmingham involving extensive river regeneration works, a high rise building in Cardiff.
Job Description
* leading a project and working as part of a collaborative design team
* mentoring new members of staff
* preparing reports, designs and drawings
* making calculations about loads and stresses
* selecting appropriate construction materials
* providing technical advice
* liaising with relevant professional staff such as architects
* monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
* administering contracts
* site visits will be required from time to time
Role requirements
* Degree in structural Engineering
* confident representing the business at Client and Design Team Meetings as required.
* Chartered status (near Chartered)
* Ideally experience working in concrete and use of Tekla
