About the company
Contechs is recruiting on behalf of its client whose mission is to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector. They are seeking an experienced Software Team Lead & Planner who has a strong background in managing software projects, assigning tasks, understanding project requirements, sourcing requirements and documentation, while meeting tight project deadlines on a contract basis. The software team consists of 5-7 developers with different skill sets. The role will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Job Description
As the Software Team Lead & Planner your main responsibilities are:
System Discovery - Investigate existing software environments and help knowledge transfer with relevant team members, especially those less experienced with Android developments.
Team Leadership - Share experience and guidance with developers, built upon system processes and maintain quality standards, through active day-to-day engagement with developers.
Team Planning - Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Scope Management - Define and control project scope to prevent scope creep.
Resource Management - Allocate and manage resources effectively.
Time Management - Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Budget Management - Develop and monitor the project budget, keeping costs under control.
Quality Management - Ensure deliverables meet required quality standards through testing and quality assurance. Develop, implement and monitor relevant software test systems.
Risk Management - Identify and mitigate project risks, preparing contingency plans.
Qualifications / Skills required
Senior Engineering with recent developer and team leading experience
+5yrs programming experience in a low-level language (C++, Embedded-C, Kotlin, Java)
+3yrs android or android auto programming experience (Kotlin, Java), +1yr recently
+3yrs version control management, with +1yr with GitLab
+2yrs Team Scrum master (or equivalent), Kanban planning and scheduling responsibilities.
+2yrs leading a development team, especially that involving system architecting duties and across a variety of teams and company sizes
