Oracle Developer – The Role:
The local authority is looking for a detail-oriented Oracle Developer to design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications and systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Oracle development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Oracle Developer – Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Oracle applications and databases
- Write efficient, high-quality code using SQL and PL/SQL
- Develop and manage APIs for system integration and data exchange
- Utilise APEX for web application development
- Collaborate with system testers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective solutions
- Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of Oracle systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Oracle applications and databases
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes
Oracle Developer – You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as an Oracle Developer or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of Oracle databases and applications
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience with API development and management
- Proficiency in APEX for web development
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment
