E&I DESIGNER - CHEMICAL PLANT PROJECTS - BASED IN VIRGINIA - LONG TERM CONTRACT - W2 - $60-70 PER HOUR
Are you an Electrical and Instrument Designer with a good understanding and exposure to design projects for heavy process / industrial sites (Chemical / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas / Pharma / Power / Food / Water Treatment etc)?
This role would be carried out on a W2 contract basis initially with huge scope to transition to a staff, permanent role in 12/18 months.
Based on site in Suffolk, Virginia you will work closely with a Design Engineer who has much experience and will be your mentor and trainer to move into engineering and projects for when he retires. So the progression and development is in place from day 1.

Working for a leading chemical business on aglobal scale, we are looking for someone that is capable of carrying out low voltage design, GA's, Loop Diagrams and Data sheets all on AutoCADbut also in time to carry out some specification design of instruments.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
* Some E&I experience and is willing to learnthe senior design aspects
* Associate degree in Electrical, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent science degree.
* 5+ year's of related experience in a Design Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
* Some knowledge of technical standards and guidelines (API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.)
* Creates solutions to complex, non-routine problems.
* Provides recommendations to management within business/functional team
