Job Title: Assembly Technician

Salary: up to £27,000 per annum dependent upon experience

Location: Dalgety Bay, Fife

We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as an Assembly Technician. The role will be based in Dalgety Bay, Fife and will require the post holder to be on site 5 days per week (no hybrid working available).

They work at the cutting edge of technology, creating more than 100 new inventions every year for customers in over 100 countries.

The site at Dalgety Bay manufactures Electronic Sub-assemblies for a range of Defence applications for both internal and external customers. The Production Team are skilled in SMT, Hand Soldering and Mechanical Assembly processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where training will be provided.

Main Responsibilities:

* Assemble/ process product in accordance with defined work instructions or detailed technical drawings

* Repair/ modify current and legacy products

* Use business systems to record product history/ compliance

About You:

* Have a good understanding of an assembly discipline such as wiring, fitting, Printed Circuit Board assembly

* Able to perform assembly/ disassembly or modification tasks on electronic or mechanical components, subassemblies and systems – encompassing new build, and repairs products

* Be formally qualified in appropriate Workmanship Standard e.g. ANSI J, IPC or similar. Training will be provided

You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
