Job Description
The Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent provides leadership, direction and technical expertise to maintain the reliability of all plant mechanical equipment. This position has complete responsibility of all Mechanical supervision, planning and craftspeople. The Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent ensures the workforce can safely and efficiently perform all tasks related to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the facility mechanical equipment. The top three responsibilities of this role are to ensure the workforce is safe, well trained to perform the work efficiently, and that all craftspeople use precision equipment care practices aimed at continuously improving the reliability of the equipment.
This position plays a critical role in accomplishing the operating objectives aimed at improving year over year reliability. This role is also integral in the development and execution of the mill’s repair and capital plan.
