Job Description
Manage the performance of our global supply chain from customs clearance process, up to delivery to warehouse or customers.
Ensure our partners, including customs agents, drayage providers, ocean freight carriers, warehouses, port operators and others, collaborate to deliver a seamless, waste-free, flow of 25,000 TEUs (shipping containers) per annum through cargo inbound operations.
Provide up-to-date status updates and performance metrics results to key stakeholders in our supply chain.
Oversee day-to-day cargo inbound operations along with a team of three (3) Drayage planners.  Each planner oversees cargo flow (Customs clearance and inbound transportation) through a region of the world.  
Responsible for Drayage P&L responsibilities on a $17M annual OpEx budget. Owns annual drayage operations budgeting process including monthly financial performance reviews.  
Negotiate all customs clearance and Drayage provider contracting including annual RFP process, bid awards, legal reviews and other contract management tasks.
Evaluate and approve or dispute invoices as needed and supervises rate auditing and dispute resolution processes with the help of a rate auditor.
Execute data analysis and process improvement projects that drives service, quality and cost savings. Determine the most cost-effective, efficient, and competitive method to inbound cargo.
100% compliance to government regulations for cross border activities.  Interpret laws, rules, regulations and prepare applications for export control.  Adhere to EAR filing AES per booking.
Maintain current and update as needed all written Standard Operating Procedures for cross-border activities to include retention requirements at all FIJI 3PL Warehouse facilities.
Manage execution across various departments through effective planning, prioritizing, communication and most importantly, follow-up.
Oracle review of every export order to all markets.  Heavy communication with FIJI Plant, NPDL and other ocean carriers, sales, international customs agents, forwarders, planning, warehouse and carriers.
Resolve border crossing issues with appropriate brokers or distributors.  Implement process change as necessary guaranteeing pre-clearance using the PARS with all carriers from all origins.
Monthly report to manager on shipment volumes, cost, carrier performance and delivery tracking.
Reporting and Projects:
Determine what charges we need to accrue for at the end of the month that will not be received in time for processing.  These need to be organized by account code and reported back to our Finance team for all trucking/brokerage/drayage invoices.
Coordinate with supplier A/R departments to ensure accuracy of invoices and month end estimates
Provide business insights from Drayage & Customs Clearance performance results and share with key internal and external stakeholders for the purposes of operational planning, lead time forecasting and equipment procurement needs.
Support transportation monthly/quarterly business review process. Represent FIJI Water at The Wonderful Company Transportation (Best Practices) Board
Report drayage trucking cost per case and brokerage cost per case to share with key stakeholders.
Support overall supply chain planning, sales operations and expansion projects.
Provide business insights and government regulations changes that could impact supply chain performance.
Perform Ad-hoc analytics and financial decision support with the help of the Transportation Continuous Improvement analyst.
