Key Responsibilities:

* Estimating and Tendering: Accurately estimate client bills and submit competitive tenders. Manage the entire tender process from start to finish.

* Supplier and Subcontractor Liaison: Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to gather and negotiate prices, ensuring the best cost and quality balance.

* Bill of Quantities (BoQ): Assist in opportunities for lump sum tenders by producing detailed and accurate BoQ’s.

* Risk Assessment: Evaluate the financial, technical, and operational risks associated with each project.

* Project Delivery: Collaborate with the site team to ensure projects are executed in accordance with the provided quotes and client expectations.

* Valuation and Measurement: Conduct detailed take offs from project drawings and site visits to support accurate valuation and budgeting.

* Monthly Valuations: Submit precise and fully substantiated monthly valuations.

* Pricing and Change Control: Efficiently price project variations and manage change control to adapt to project shifts.

* Material and Subcontractor Coordination: Create detailed measures for material ordering and coordinate with subcontractors for timely and accurate supply and workmanship.

* Communication: Maintain robust communication channels with clients, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth operation and project delivery.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within groundworks and civil engineering.

* Proficient in using estimating software and MS Office.

* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
