Job Title: Environmental Engineer (WFH/Remote)
Salary: £50,000
Objective:
To provide environmental technical support and risk management to line management, other functional teams and stakeholders, through the application of risk management tools, provision of technical advice, and support of business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Self-Management
·Promote process safety leadership
·Demonstrate Leadership competencies
·Be a key contributor to the HSSEQ Team to support and meet the business and team objectives.
·Ensure activities completed are fully compliant with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work.
Technical/HSSEQ
·Provide technical support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in such matters as land, water, wastewater treatment processes and Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Materials.
·Act as point of contact for Environmental compliance issues.
·Responsible for developing the environmental strategy and the forward agenda for sustaining environmental performance.
·Support the management of Environmental Permits, including initial application, variation application, and periodic reporting requirements as defined in the permit.
·Assist with the development and maintenance of COMAH Safety Reports for all relevant controlled sites/assets.
·Manage and improve the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001.
·Conduct HSSE and Quality assurance inspections and audits of COMAH sites.
