Senior Protection & Control Engineer

CEN Resources are currently working in partnership with a well known engineering and design firm who are extremely successful within within the Power sector. Our client delivers expertise across a range of different projects, these include interconnector and renewables schemes, including nuclear and solar power, offshore and onshore wind power generation and transmission, high (HV), extra high voltage (EHV) and distribution projects. Due business growth and and incoming projects, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Protection & Control Engineer for UK operations. With our client having various offices across the UK, they are happy for the successful individual to be based in any UK location within a hybrid capacity.

You will have experience in the production of all designs, calculations, reports & drawings associated with new or modification of HV projects from 11kV – 400kV covering protection & control. This will cover the production of single line diagrams, key line diagrams, wiring diagrams, technical specifications and other design deliverables detailed below. In your role, you will manage the production of project deliverables through a robust checking process but must also support the CAD technicians with the development of drawings and support the actual delivery of the outputs.

Requirements

* Experience specifically within P&C roles for NG or SSE projects

* Experience in leading design aspects on a project

* Relative Electrical degree

Must have knowledge of the following:

* Calculations i.e. Protection Settings, CT sizing

* Experience developing single line diagrams and key line diagrams

* Experience developing equipment specifications
