Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Planning Intern for employment in our Oakland, California office. This position would support the transportation business line.
This position is expected to begin in June 2024.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans and programs.
Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, roadway network, crash records, and asset inventories.
Works with the planning team to conduct equitable public outreach, preparing materials and presentations.
Analyzes data and prepares detailed maps for use on thematic maps and in reports.
Conducts concept-level evaluation of transit/transportation improvement options.
Documents and presents findings on transit/transportation planning projects.
Research current transportation-related topics at local, state, and federal levels.
Assists with other duties assigned by senior staff and/or Project Managers.
This position will involve planning and project development activities for transportation projects under the supervision of more senior staff.
