Job Summary:

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various construction projects in Auckland. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your role will involve coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
Ensure that projects are completed within the stipulated time frame and budget.

Technical Supervision:

Oversee site activities to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
Conduct site inspections and surveys to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Quality Control:

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of construction.
Review and approve construction materials and workmanship.
Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

Coordination and Communication:

Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project coordination.
Resolve any technical issues that arise on-site promptly.
Prepare and present detailed project reports and documentation.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Ensure that all project documentation is properly filed and accessible.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Proven track record of managing and delivering construction projects on time and within budget.

Skills:

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to work on-site and travel to different project locations as needed.
