We are working with a fantastic and successful client, based in the centre of Derby who are looking for a Medical Secretary to join their team on a temp to perm basis. You will provide a widespread secretarical service to the Manager.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

Ideally hold 5x GCSE’s including Maths and English or equivalent
A level 2 in Customer Services is advantageous
Typewriting or word processing skills (RSA 2 or RSA 3 desirable)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent people skills, ideally within a surgery or the NHS
Able to work independently and as part of a team
General computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have proof of 2x Covid vaccinations or willing to have them.

Within this position, you’ll be:

Providing a widespread secretarical service to the Manager
Approachable and passion for customer service
Flexible approach to work with good diary management
Co-ordinating with different departments and clinicians
Updating the CRM System (TTP SystmOnE) and sending referrals
Answering all calls with a professional manner
Ensuring data accuracy is to the highest standard
Managing prescriptions, standard forms and ordering of health information
General administration duties such as filing, post, photocoptying etc
Rate & Working Hours

Temp – perm
Working hours between Monday – Friday 25 hours per week additional hours may be available
Shifts are 12pm to 5pm ideally but a little flexibility can be offered
£11.67 per hour
