Our client, a renowned manufacturer with over 60 years of experience distributing products to multiple countries, is seeking a Product Manager to join their team. Based in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, they offer a highly competitive salary (details to be discussed during a telephone interview), along with attractive benefits including a 10% employer pension contribution, private medical insurance, discounted gym membership, and more. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Main Purpose of the Role:
* Take full ownership for the product(s) within the company.
* Deliver new and existing Louvolite products to market.
* Develop and lead the Vision, Roadmap and Strategy for the product such that it supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
* Manage the specified product(s) throughout the entire lifecycle, from conception to obsolescence.
* Ensure that the Louvolite product range is constantly evolving to meet identified market needs across all selling channels.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
* Develop business cases for new products, improvements, and business ventures.
* Own and manage the New Product Development Funnel.
* Create core messaging and positioning for products.
* Report progress to the board of directors against agreed plans.
* Coordinate between Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Production for effective cooperation.
* Act as the market expert for the product segment and monitor competitor activity.
* Propose product pricing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
* Collaborate with marketing on sales techniques, collateral, and digital platform strategies.
* Support sales leadership in equipping salespeople and retailers with product knowledge.
* Provide sales and operational forecasts to plan production and procurement efficiently.
Essential Criteria:
* Significant experience in a product management role.
* Demonstrated success in defining and launching products that meet and exceed business objectives.
* Experience working with consumer products, preferably interior, home appliance, lifestyle or home automation products.
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Product Design, Engineering or similar.
