VAN DRIVER – ANDOVER
Forte Recruitment are looking for an experienced Van Drivers for a variety of work based within the Andover area.
The role will involve completing multiple deliveries to customers premises in and around the South of the UK, including London. Full UK Driving licence is essential.
Reporting directly to the Warehouse / Transport Supervisor, the Van Driver will be part of our client’s busy distribution team. The successful applicant will deliver & collect products and goods safely, efficiently and to their designated locations within a set time frame.
This is a customer facing role, applicants are required to have high standards of customer service, and a positive and professional approach at all times. Duties will include loading / unloading and offering assistance within other areas of business as required. Successful applicants will need to be flexible, helpful and capable of lifting heavy loads.
Hours = 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Pay rate - £12.00 per hour for the first 8 hours, overtime time and half there after.
Duties will include:-
The successful Van Driver will be required to undertake the following duties:
* Driving a 3.5 tonne (CAT B) vehicle to deliver goods via various delivery routes.
* Assist colleagues by helping to load and unload their vehicles daily.
* Complete daily run sheets and carry out daily vehicle checks.
* Report any defects to the vehicle to your Line Manager.
* Meeting multiple customers.
* Checking and confirming delivery accuracy against PDA/paperwork.
* Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
* Communicate with customers to update them of time of deliveries.
* Follows pre-planned route accurately without deviation from set course.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicles and warehouse.
* Carry out stock checks.
* Replenish stock.
* Pick & Pack Orders.
* Heavy lifting required.
Applicant Requirements:-
The successful Van Driver will need to demonstrate the following traits and experience:
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Able to lift and handle heavy loads.
* Courteous & possess good customer service skills.
* Able to communicate & problem solve.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Patient, enthusiastic, attention to detail.
* Be prepared to undertake training as required.
* Be a team player.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Have a positive, can do attitude.
* Hard working, loyal and committed.
* Have a flexible approach.
* Courteous & possess good customer service skills.
