Overview
This position demands a blend of technical expertise in automation, system administration, and troubleshooting, particularly within Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and Python to optimize system administration tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
Implement automation for RHEL LEAPP upgrades to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruption to the platform.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the Linux platform, including performance tuning and security enhancements.
Manage Linux OS configurations, with a particular focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain the Linux OS platform.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in Linux, financial services, and cybersecurity.
Provide engineering-level support and contribute to incident resolution as required.
Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
Advanced proficiency in Ansible development.
Proficiency in Python development is advantageous.
Extensive experience in Linux OS administration, especially with RHEL7+.
Background in application or middleware support is beneficial.
Proven track record as a Linux Platform Engineer, with a preference for expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Expertise in Python and Ansible programming.
Demonstrated proficiency in Linux OS configuration management.
Ability to develop scalable solutions deployed in large global enterprise environments.
Experience with RHEL LEAPP upgrades is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Data Visualization tools like Splunk and ELK is a plus.
Understanding of financial services regulations and security standards is preferred.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
Certifications such as RHCE or equivalent are advantageous.
