Job Description: Corporate Partnership Manager

Duration: Permanent/37.5 hours per week/9am-5pm

Salary: £32,000 p.a. (a 4-day working week will be considered)

Location: Stockton on Tees, with travel to Bishop Auckland when required

We are currently recruiting a Corporate Partnership Manager responsible for developing and managing relationships with key partners to enhance business growth, and customer satisfaction through collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships. The primary role is to identify potential partnership opportunities and build collaborative relationships to achieve mutual goals.

Job Summary

The corporate partnership manager will conduct market research, analyse potential partners' alignment, and develop partnership proposals. Additionally, they will oversee partnership implementation, monitor performance, and ensure that both parties derive value from the collaboration. Managing all aspects of relationship management and delivery of contractual obligations and tailored benefits to fulfil agreements, including day-to-day communications with sponsors. The position works closely with internal departments including the larger fundraising team to ensure the smooth coordination of corporate fundraising events.

Key Responsibilities

While working as a Partnership Manager, you will be required to:

Conduct market research to identify potential partnership opportunities.

Assess potential partners' alignment with organisational goals and values.

Create partnership proposals and strategies to approach potential collaborators.

Negotiate terms and conditions of partnerships to achieve mutual benefits.

Draft and finalise partnership agreements and contracts.

Prepare an annual budget and provide monthly reports.

Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in partnership agreements.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners.

Act as a central point of contact for partner organisations.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between partners

Monitor the progress and success of partnerships against predefined budgets.

Analyse partnership data and provide regular reports to Head of Corporate and Community

Development.

Identify opportunities to enhance partnership outcomes and address challenges.

Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership objectives with organisational goals.

Engage with key stakeholders and senior management to gain support for partnerships.

Present partnership plans and progress updates to Head of Corporate and Community Development.

Confident public speaker and experienced in presenting to company owners and directors.

Areas of Responsibility (specific to role)

To initiate and build relationships with a business or organisation, to encourage individuals or companies to support the charity by offering an annual donation or goods or services in exchange for a rewarding long-term partnership and public recognition of their support.

The corporate partnership manager will enable communication and collaboration between partners. Monitoring the progress and success of partnerships against predefined goals. Analysing partnership data and providing regular reports, whilst identifying opportunities to enhance partnership outcomes.

Sales performance KPIs will be monitored to give a clear view of how partnerships are growing over time, how well top-line forecasts, and how efficiently the corporate partner manager is performing against budget.

Person Specification

The partnership manager will require a combination of relevant experience, specific skills and formal education such as a degree in business administration or marketing, also previous experience in partnership development, business development and account management. Certifications or professional development in relationship management and strategic partnerships may enhance a candidate’s qualifications for this role.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

At least three years’ experience of working in a senior capacity, within corporate partnerships, corporate fundraising and event management is essential.
