Manufacturing Operative

Hello,
My client is engaged in the design, development, manufacture and test of niche products for the aerospace and defence industries. They are currently in need of a Manufacturing Operative (Paint Sprayer) to join their Paint Shop Department.
ROLE: To mask, de-mask and part mark piece parts and riveted structure assemblies. To spray piece parts and riveted structures.
DUTIES:
* To mask and de-mask piece parts and assemblies,
* To part mark painted items,
* To spray top coat paint,
* To spray powder coat,
* To spray primer,
* Responsible for carrying out all tasks allocated by the Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner,
* To support team members with other tasks as when necessary,
* Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained,
* To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures,
* To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
* Demonstrable practical skills including competency in using hand tools
* Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
* GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grade C or above
* Engineering related qualification / Apprenticeship
* Previous experience in wet top coat and powder coat spraying
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Ability to read and write the markings required for assemblies
* Experience in the aerospace and/or Engineering industry

WORKING HOURS: 39 HOURS MON-THU 8AM-5PM / FRI 8AM-1PM
LOCATION: SOUTHEND-ON-SEA
SALARY: £13.72P/H PER ANNUM
