Salary: £34,000 Per Annum

Metalis is working in partnership with a manufacturing company in Manchester who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Technical Planner on a permanent contract.

Job Duties:

Overall responsibility for the analysis, planning and management of all Manufacturing orders, workloads, Bill of Materials and related documentation/databases
Ensure that all Manufacturing customer/works orders are planned into and job completion/delivery dates given with agreed time scale
In conjunction with Manufacturing Manager, develop planning procedures and appropriate controls to ensure efficient and optimised Manufacturing planning, scheduling and workpack release/control: utilising ERP system and other interfacing systems (e.g. Design/Material Control)
Achieve ERP 'super-user' status; and act as a main trainer/advisor for Manufacturing Planning, Production and Inspection staff
Deliver appropriate training to colleagues in Manufacturing Planning procedures/Syteline system
To co-ordinate planning, material and system updates/changes in result of design changes/modifications/deviations etc; and ensure adherence to GQCP and other system/process control procedures
Lead and contribute to manufacturing/lean and ERP/systems improvement projects
To attend weekly/monthly departmental and other meetings as required; and represent Manufacturing at ERP/Planning review meeting
To ensure that database tasks are actioned/updated and overdue tasks are brought to the attention of management daily
To oversee procedures and conformance by Production staff in job time/progress booking: and adherence to job-track/ERP processes
Ensure production schedules are assessed in advance and all materials requirements are created/actioned to fulfil in-house Manufacturing, Outsource, free-issue and subcontract demands
To review and prepare relevant GQCPs/Manufacturing procedures/M Docs for process control and audits
To undertake ongoing specified training in CAA/EASA Part 21G, Part 145 and Human Factors, Lean Manufacturing and H&S
Monitor production processes and identify production bottlenecks or issues, proactively taking corrective actions to minimise disruptionsJob Requirements:

Engineering experience within in a manufacturing environment
Fluent at reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Good organisational skills
Good IT skills
Good attention to detail and be capable of working to high quality standards/tolerances
Flexible towards hours of work and carry out overtime during busy periods
Natural team player with good interpersonal skills and a proactive approachSalary & Shift:

40 Hour working week
Monday to Friday, days only
£34,000 Per Annum
