Project Manager

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a very successful civil engineering contractor in the Thames Valley region
Reading in Berskhire is the centre of the region but applicants accepted from the surrounding region
The role will be working on the Thames Water Framework on a variety of water and wastewater projects
There is a mix of projects ranging from smaller capital maintenance to large civil new build schemes.
Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager
* Leadership, line management and development of site teams
* Provide whole life oversight and accountability for the successful completion of projects and services,
* Ensure supply chain remain compliant with the framework management plan
* Provide leadership
* Ensure a commercial focus
* Ensure all stakeholders are engaged
* Ensure consistent and reliable reporting of project/services performance
* Ensure key project and programme risks are identified early, and mitigated where possible
Ideal requirements of the Project Manager
* Previous experience of managing multidisciplinary projects including Civils and MEICA (preferably in the water sector)
* Strong track record of delivery of project programmes
* Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training
* Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* SMSTS qualification
* Relevant CSCS card
* HNC/HND or degree in a relevant civil engineering discipline
