Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Dunbar Education is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants. This is a full-time position with non-negotiable terms.

Requirements:

Full-time availability only
Possession of a valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Minimum of 6 months experience working in a SEN school (non-negotiable)Responsibilities: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Providing support to children with various SEN needs, including ADHD, ASD, and SEMH
Assisting SEN pupils with their academic and social development
Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create and implement individualised learning plans
Encouraging independence and fostering a positive learning environment
Providing one-on-one support or small group instruction as needed
Assisting with behaviour management strategies and promoting positive behaviour
Monitoring and tracking pupil progress and reporting to relevant stakeholders
Supporting sensory and communication needs as required
Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupilsBenefits:
