Groups & Events Travel Consultant

Due to remarkable growth, we are now on the hunt for an experienced Groups and Events Travel Consultant to join a highly successful travel company that offer a range of travel services across the globe to clients.

This exciting role is ideal for an experienced Travel Consultant from a leisure or business travel background with a passion for events seeking career development.

Groups and Events Travel Consultant Duties:

* Making individual and group bookings (air, rail, hotels) and all ground travel

* arrangements liaising with appropriate DMCs.

* Putting together client proposals ensuring that proposals are relevant, accurate, commercially viable and stand out.

* Demonstrating fantastic destination knowledge.

* Providing excellent customer service to clients.

* Maintenance of ongoing client relationships.

Groups and Events Travel Consultant – Essential Requirements:

* Previous experience of working for a tour operator, travel agency or within business travel.

* Strong GDS knowledge such as Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo.

* Knowledge of complex fare routings.

* Excellent geographical knowledge/personal travel experience

* Experience within flight/rail booking, conferences, incentives and/or

* summer/winter parties.

* Meticulous attention to detail.

* IT savvy – you are competent in using the full range of Microsoft Office products
