Hatch Brunch House is a local independent brunch hotspot, and we are looking to recruit an A-star Sous Chef as we continue to grow to be the neighbourhood's most loved brunch house.

BRUNCH CHEF OVERVIEW

As a Brunch Chef at Hatch, you are responsible for preparing brunch food for our guests and ensuring the kitchen operates safely at all times in line with food safety and health and safety procedures

Sous Chef - RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES FOOD OPERATIONS

● Prepare all food to a high standard and always follow the recipe and dish build guidelines

● Supporting the business to keep up with industry brunch trends and aid new product development

● Ensure that you follow the company handwashing & gloves policy to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness

● Ensure that you follow the company Food Safety procedures including:

● Following all allergen training and respective methods of preventing cross contamination

● Taking food temperature checks

● Dating products in line with the shelf life guide

● Taking temperature checks for deliveries

● Following any guidance as outlined in HACCP policy

KITCHEN ENVIRONMENT

● Take housekeeping seriously and ensure cleanliness standards are maintained across the kitchen to the highest standards and always clean as you go (CAYG)

● Ensure all opening and closing procedures are followed in accordance with company policy

● Complete daily and weekly cleaning duties

● Assist with receiving deliveries and putting stock away

● You must ensure that you follow all company policies and procedures to ensure that top class operations are in place within your store

● Ensure that you take safety seriously and always operate all kitchen equipment safely and in accordance with your training and report any damaged equipment

GUESTS AND SERVICE

● From time to time you will be asked to assist the front of house team, ensure that you deliver excellent customer service to all guests that visit the store

TEAM WORK

Support the front of house team with serving guests food and drinks and cleaning down restaurant after guests

● Support with kitchen training and coaching for any new starters or front of house team developing kitchen skills

● Ensure that you communicate with your fellow team mates
