Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a Litho Print Operative to join our client's award-winning print service company in Newcastle.
This is a temp to perm role, working full-time Monday to Friday on a 2-week rotation of early and back shift, 6.30am to 2.20pm and 2.10pm to 10pm - paid at £11.44 to £15 per hour.
Your duties will include, but not limited to produce high quality print to the timescales and specifications required. Combined with:
Keep the machine in good working order
Ensure the quality of every job, including attaining ISO 12647 standards
Following the quality standards as described in their ISO 9001 procedures for Printing (QSP 08)
Completed all paperwork associated with the job and the quality procedure
Complete any routine cleaning and maintenance of the press (maintenance is supported by an external team)
Complete all hours as detailed in the shift pattern supplied and to provide holiday cover for other team members
All work carried out and any waste created must be moved or disposed in adherence with environmental standard ISO 14001To be successful in this position you will have significant, recent experience of running a Komori or Heidelberg B2 or B1 multi coloured press. Combined with excellent colour knowledge and quality control; and experience of using press colour management software and printing to ISO 12647 standards
Other key skills, traits and experience includes:
Experience of running Komori or Heidelberg multi-coloured press would be beneficial, full training will be undertaken
Experience of working within ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 practices
