Job Purpose

You will develop, prepare, execute and analyse research elements as a member of our R&D team to gain insights into new development and improve existing research methodology in line with our R&D strategy. You could be involved in developing new products, technologies and test methods as well as developing a fundamental understanding of key product attributes or testing/supporting existing products, processes and systems.

Job Responsibilities

* Act as a consultant & provide guidance/coaching to colleagues.

* Use your knowledge to develop technically feasible solutions that meet customer needs.

* Support assessment of technologies, processes & capabilities.

* Effectively execute assigned projects/activities.

* Proactively look for & implement new techniques/methodologies.

* Contribute to AkzoNobel technical forums.

* Identify & exploit all opportunities to develop solutions that meet customer needs.

* Work & operate safely.

Job Requirements

* A degree or greater in Chemistry or similar

* Experience in a similar R&D role.

* Able to nurture & motivate colleagues.

* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

* Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key.

* Good at building relationships.

* Well organised & with an eye for detail.
