Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to contribute to the financial health and success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records by recording transactions in the general ledger. Ensure all financial data is properly classified and documented.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process vendor invoices, verify expenses, and manage payments to suppliers. Generate invoices for clients, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Provide analysis and explanations for variances.
Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering and analyzing financial data. Assist in developing budgets and forecasts based on historical trends and future projections.
Tax Preparation and Compliance: Assist with tax preparation activities, including gathering documentation and preparing tax returns. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Audit Support: Prepare audit schedules and provide support during internal and external audits. Assist in addressing audit findings and implementing recommendations.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analysis.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen internal controls. Implement best practices to optimize workflow.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with special projects and other accounting tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
