We’re hiring for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an engineering company based in Stockport who boast an attractive reputation and extremely exciting future.
Producing high quality jigs and fixtures for a diverse range of industries, this is a business that provides an excellent variety of work for their employees along with a supportive working environment.
What’s on offer?
* £35,000 - £40,000 per year
* 35 hour week

What will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?
* Inspecting machine parts and assemblies in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications
* Supporting the Quality Manager with the management of the QMS
* Servicing and calibrating equipment including laser trackers and CMM’s
* Providing training to operators to the recognised level
* Working closely with production, estimating and sales
* Advising on capital investments to ensure that leading technologies are being used
* Actioning NCR’s through 8D problem solving tools
What do you need?
* A trained internal auditing certification or relevant experience
* Previous time served as a machinist or toolmaker (desirable)
* Leica or Faro experience (desirable)
* Lean and six sigma experience (desirable)
* Previous experience working within a precision engineering environment (desirable)
