Job Title: Training and Development Manager
Salary: £35,000 to £39,000 per annum
Location: Southport
Type of Job: Full time and Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
 
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Training & Development Manager to lead training initiatives within Children’s Social Care. In this role, you will ensure the continuous compliance, growth, and development of our staff across our organization, including our residential homes.
 
Training and Development Manager Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience in delivering and assessing qualifications in Health and Social Care.
Thorough understanding of CQC or CIW regulations and standards for residential care homes.
Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of Ofsted/CQC regulatory inspection frameworks.
IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
Qualified Instructor of Physical Intervention.
Experience working in the SEND and SEMH sectors.  
Training and Development Manager Responsibilities

Training Leadership: Design, deliver, and regularly review high-quality training programs, including staff inductions, refresher sessions, and remedial plans, ensuring our staff operate from a trauma-informed perspective.
Compliance Management: Oversee training compliance within Children’s Homes Regulations, ensuring frontline staff are qualified to NVQ L3 in Childcare and leaders to NVQ L5.
Collaborative Development: Work closely with Directors, Registered Managers, and training officers to arrange and plan new and refresher training, incorporating our ‘train the trainer’ approach.
Data Analysis: Analyze data from various sources to provide relevant training, support, and guidance, ensuring best practices are promptly disseminated.
Quality Assurance: Maintain robust quality assurance and audit systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
Subject Matter Expertise: Develop internal experts in key areas, including behavior management, physical intervention, safeguarding, and first aid.
