Escape Recruitment is working with an organisation that supplies parts and components and is looking to appoint a Senior Buyer.
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for working closely with Suppliers ensuring that purchase orders are placed and delivered on time.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Reviewing and updating the ERP system for open orders and stock holdings
Ensure that all parts and components are ordered and delivered in time to fulfil Customer demand
Expediting of deliveries and highlighting any issues
Work closely with suppliers to address any issues relating to lead times, delivery schedules and quality
Arranging in-bound transport requirements
Working closely with the Sales Team to understand the sales forecast and orders
Monitor KPI's to drive Continuous Improvement
Train and mentor the Junior Members of the teamExperience and knowledge required for the role:
Experience working in a similar purchasing/expediting role ideally within a manufacturing or engineering organisation
Experience in using ERP/MRP systems and have strong Excel skills
Time management skills and can prioritise workloads
Can build strong working relationships with Suppliers and colleagues
Problem-solving skills - always searching for the solution
