Sue Ross Recruitment are delighted to be working with this well respected Sheffield charity who, after a restructure are recruiting an HR & Inclusion Manager.

Working closely with the Director for People & Wellbeing, you will ensure an effectively organised HR team structure, aligned to organisational strategy, priorities and objectives, at all times applying visible team leadership and effective management skills.

This is a varied, hands-on role which incorporates strategic, operations and people management. You will have direct line management of 3, whilst also managing your own HR caseload.

Key duties:

* Coordinate the delivery of all operational / transactional HR activity

* Support delivery of full range of generalist HR practices including recruitment, onboarding, induction, probation, ER matters (Inc. case management), performance management, L&D, appraisal, succession planning, and offboarding across the workforce.

* Guide, support and develop the HR Team, in order to increase knowledge, share best practice and ensure professional standards are met, and an efficient and effective service applied at all times.

* Support the design, development and alignment of HR team departmental strategies and initiatives to ensure the achievement HR objectives, and in the wider sense, the organisations ‘Valuing our people’ Strategic priority are met.

* Set internal HR Team standards for the creation of HR documents, including SOPs, employment forms, job descriptions and handbooks etc.

* Plan, deliver, review, monitor and evaluate all HR and EDI workforce services in order to provide the best possible guidance and support to managers and their teams, including the use of systems appropriate for the efficient and legal management of data and information.

* Develop employment policies and practices in consultation with the Director for People & Wellbeing and other key stakeholders, including the staff handbook, and ensure that these are effectively communicated and monitored across the organisation.

* Provide expert professional advice to management in all areas of HR, including learning and development, employment law, HR policy, best practice and workforce development.

* Working with the EDI Advisor oversee the delivery of the organisations EDI workforce programme, aligning with organisational values, strategy and ambitions.

This is a permanent role, mostly office based (hybrid working can be considered working from home 1 day per week). Hours are negotiable, between 30 and 37.5 hours per week over 4 or 5 days.
