This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary. In addition to the responsibilities below, the Systems Engineer will provide expert level technical support; help identify department workflow priorities and serve as a quality assurance/quality control agent for the Commissioning department.
 
Essential Functions:  An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. 
Upgrade systems to the latest versions of automation software.
Support multiple projects by providing checkout, commissioning and engineering support.
Provide customer training.
Mentor in-house technicians.
Research new products or technologies to meet difficult scope requirements.
Backfill critical path projects.
Work within multiple projects to monitor approach and efficiency and recommend corrective actions.
Analyze BACnet network traffic, identify communication issues, and provide a blueprint for resolution.
Provide Sales department assistance with presentations and demonstrations.
Support a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment with enterprise vision, mission, and objectives.
Ensure regulatory compliance across a range of federal, state, and local agencies.
Ensure that all quality and safety standards, specifications and policies are met, drive continuous improvements, and collaborate with the team to drive efficiencies.
Support a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance.
Support a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and site safety as well as other aspects of the business.
 
Requirements
Vocational School or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field is preferred. 
Demonstrated experience with the Automated Logic Product Line and Software Suite.
Minimum of five years’ experience in the HVAC/BAS industry.
Knowledge of HVAC waterside and airside system
Demonstrated experience with BACnet.
Working knowledge of IP Networking and Modbus.
Ability to coordinate the work of others on multiple job sites. 
Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner. 
Possess critical thinking skills and an attention to detail.
Experience in writing as well as demonstrated understanding of computer programs and software applications as related to the HVAC industry. 
Prior experience in a training role is a plus.
Prior experience supporting construction and field employee groups, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.
Commitment to “open door” and comfort with production floor presence and contact with all field employees.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.
Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.
High ethical standards, strong values, integrity, drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, building effective teams, and action orientation are fundamental imperatives. Salary $90k-$120K DOE.
