JOB DESCRIPTION:
We have several positions available for Warehouse Operatives within our busy production area. You will be responsible for the movement and processing of produce at the company established rate to meet customer specification. All production operatives will be using electronic pallet moving equipment and handheld devices to move pallets of produce through our warehouse.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Producing products to meet customer and company specification.
To promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Maximizing utilisation of product through effective selection and efficient packing methods.
KEY SKILLS:
Good communication skills and understanding of the English language.
Diligent worker with good attention to detail.
Basic numeric skills.
Must be able to repeatedly lift approximately 22kg.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
Experience of packing and working in a warehouse environment preferred.
OTHER INFORMATION:
The role will also require the use of Pedestrian operated trucks. Training will be provided.
Work involves standing and walking for approximately 8 hours a day.
Employment will be conditional to the satisfactory completion of the Start of Employment Health Declaration & references.
This position is subject to a 3 month probationary period.
HOURS OF WORK & RATE OF PAY:
Hourly Rate: £11.44 Per Hour. (Over 25 National Minimum Wage regardless of current age)
8am-5pm working Saturday and Sunday and 3 days during the week (not specified) you will have 2 set days off during Monday – Friday.
Overtime at x1.25 after 10 hour shift. Bank Holiday at x1.5 rate for hours worked.
31 days paid holiday.
Must be over 18.
