As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, working regionally across South Wales, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the proper maintenance of mechanical equipment. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of a whole host of mechanical equipment predominantly within the Water Industry and for Natural Resources Wales. Here are the key duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
1.
Equipment Repairs: Perform repairs on malfunctioning motors, controls, pumps, and other mechanical components. This includes troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely fixes.

Machine Operation: Operate various machines and equipment, such as grinders and lathes, as needed for maintenance and repair tasks. Experience of this not essential

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safe work procedures and security guidelines. You’ll also be responsible for the safe utilisation of hand tools, hoists, and power tools etc..

Troubleshooting: Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic problems related to process equipment. Your skills in identifying and resolving issues will be essential.
5.
Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team and other operational staff. Provide insight an feedback from the field to assist us to to achieve organisational goals.
6.
Assistance and Mentorship: Take full responsibility for your work and assist contractors and other team members. Share knowledge and mentor other team members in operations and maintenance.
7.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in organisational enhancement, contribute to quality improvement, cost reduction, and productivity initiatives.
Preferred Experience:
* Some electrical knowledge would be beneficial, although not mandatory.
* Any experience working with electric submersible pumps would also be beneficial, but again is not mandatory
