Health & Safety Advisor

Keyman Personnel is excited to present a rewarding opportunity for a Freelance Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading name in the civil engineering industry. Our client is committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across all operations and is seeking a dedicated professional to champion these principles.
Role Overview:
As a Freelance Health & Safety Advisor, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures to safeguard the well-being of all employees and ensure compliance with legal standards. This role demands a proactive and diligent individual who can identify potential risks and deliver effective solutions to mitigate them.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans, including emergency response strategies.
• Deliver health and safety training sessions to staff at all levels to promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
• Liaise with management and external bodies, such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), to stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and update company policies and procedures as necessary.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, preferably within the structural steel or construction sectors.
• A NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical skills to identify hazards and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• CSCS card and relevant industry certifications.
